The cryptocurrency industry has been covering a lot of ground in the Asian continent. At present, there are many countries from Asia that have adopted crypto-blockchain technology. One of the most prominent countries adopting crypto-blockchain is India.
Although the crypto-industry has faced a lot of ups and downs in India over the past couple of years, it is still gaining a lot of recognition in the country. If it is technology we are talking about, then India has to be mentioned due to its rank as one of the advanced countries when it comes to IT and Programming.
When we talk about India, then how can we forget to talk about Pakistan and its current stand-point regarding cryptocurrencies. In recent decades, Pakistan has also gained a lot of recognition and prominence in the IT and Programming sector. The country even a lot of children becoming Microsoft certified even before hitting teenage.
A few weeks back, the country expressed its interest in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Now, one of the provinces from Pakistan has shown its interest in adopting crypto-blockchain technology.
The KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) Province from Pakistan has recently revealed its interest in adopting the crypto-blockchain technology. The province has urged to legalize of cryptocurrencies in the country.
The proposal was presented at the KPK assembly and demanded the existence of the crypto-blockchain industry in Pakistan to be legalized.
By doing this, KPK has become the first legislative authority that talk about the existence of cryptocurrency in the country. It has also been requested in the assembly that the country’s stance and view must change towards cryptocurrencies.
As per reports and data, it has been revealed that Pakistan seems to have been acting slowly in the adoption of the crypto-blockchain technology. It has also lacked the efficiency to introduce new frameworks for cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
This resolution was proposed in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on the 2nd of December. It was presented by Sumera Shams in the KPK Assembly who is a member of the centrist political party and provincial assembly. The name of the party is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Another member of PTI ‘Zia UllahBangash’ also shared his views and summarized the request that was made by Sumera Shams. Zia UllahBangash stated that the proposed resolution must be treated as demand due to its scope.
He stated that the federal government should take the necessary steps to introduce and adopt cryptocurrency-blockchain technology. He urged that crypto-mining and cryptocurrencies must be legalized in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Apart from being a member of the national assembly, Zia UllahBangash is also the advisor to the KPK’s Science and Technology Chief Minister.
